In 1995, Thanks-Giving Square was at the center of a week-long area-wide festival of kindness called Dallas Acts Kind.
In February of 2025, we celebrated the 30-year anniversary with a commemoration in the Chapel of Thanks-Giving, where we announced that The Thanks-Giving Foundation will initiate a new annual Kindness Week.
North Texas Kindness Week aims to activate thousands of North Texans in an effort to foster a culture of kindness, compassion, empathy, and understanding throughout our community. Through a series of events, activities, and initiatives, we will highlight the transformative power of kindness and encourage everyone to contribute to a more harmonious society all year round.
We are preparing for the city-wide North Texas Kindness Week from November 7th - 14th, and we could use your help! The Interfaith Council is organizing the Kindness Festival on Saturday, November 7th. This day is shaping up to be special celebration of culture through music, dance, food and fun.
