Make Plans Now: Dallas Kindness Week Returns November 7–14, 2026
A citywide invitation to celebrate compassion, connection, and the power of one meaningful act
Kindness begins with a moment of awareness. It grows through intention. And it transforms a community when we choose to share it together.
This fall, Dallas will once again come together for Dallas Kindness Week, November 7–14, 2026 — a celebration inviting individuals, families, schools, businesses, faith communities, and organizations across North Texas to make kindness visible through acts of compassion, gratitude, and service.
At its heart, Dallas Kindness Week reflects a simple yet profound belief: the character of a city is shaped not only by what we build, but by how we care for one another.
For nearly 50 years, Thanks-Giving Square has served as a place where gratitude becomes a bridge — bringing people together across cultures, generations, and traditions. In the quiet beauty of the Garden and the Chapel of Thanks-Giving, visitors are invited to pause, reflect, and rediscover the connections that unite us.
Dallas Kindness Week carries that spirit beyond the Square and into neighborhoods throughout our community.
Now is the time to make your plans.
Consider how you, your family, your workplace, your school, or your organization can participate:
Share an unexpected act of kindness.
Recognize someone whose generosity has made a difference.
Create opportunities for listening, understanding, and connection.
Volunteer your time and talents.
Encourage others by sharing stories of compassion and hope.
Kindness does not require a grand gesture. Often, it begins with something beautifully simple: a handwritten note, a word of encouragement, a welcoming smile, a moment of patience, or an expression of gratitude.
During Dallas Kindness Week, we invite you to visit Thanks-Giving Square, a gathering place in the heart of downtown Dallas where people from around the world have found moments of reflection and belonging. Write a gratitude card. Spend time in the Chapel of Thanks-Giving. Share your own expression of hope for our city and our world.
Together, we can help create a Dallas where kindness is not simply celebrated for one week — but practiced every day.
Save the dates: November 7–14, 2026.
