Compassion Walk with Compassionate DFW

September 21, 2017
Klyde Warren Park to Thanks-Giving Square

The International Day of Peace (“Peace Day”) is observed around the world each year on 21 September. Established in 1981 by unanimous United Nations resolution, the General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to “commemorating and strengthening the ideals of peace both within and among all nations and peoples.”

On this day members of Faith Forward Dallas at Thanks-Giving Square, Crow Collection of Asian Art, and Compassionate DFW will gather to promote peace in our city. The Compassion Walk also marks the closing day of the Compassion Games and will include remarks by city officials and interfaith community leaders.

We’ll assemble at Klyde Warren Park on the Pearl Lawn for remarks at 11:30 am, and then walk together to Thanks-Giving Square beginning at noon (0.7 mile walk). The event will end promptly at 1:00 pm.
